Personal injury accidents can be car accidents or injuries that have occurred at work. We treat many car accident injuries as well as workers compensation cases in our office. Car accidents can be very hard on the spine and lead to many injuries such as whiplash injuries.

• Whiplash is an injury that occurs when the spine is in motion and comes to an abrupt stop leading to tearing of ligaments, straining of muscles, and irritation of the joints within the spine. The symptoms can come on immediately or come on up to 3 months post accident. Whiplash is a very treatable issue, but if gone untreated can lead to compounding problems later on down the road, sometimes becoming debilitating.

• Many of the symptoms from a car wreck may come on days, weeks, even months after a car accident. It is always better to get checked immediately after and accident.
